WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES REVAMPS LINE OF COUNTERSINKS FOR ULTIMATE PRECISION AND PERFORMANCE

Walter Surface Technologies, the global industry leader in surface treatment technologies, announced the launch of its redesigned line of VP™ Countersinks, designed to provide cooler and more precise drilling on stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals.

The new VP Countersinks have a wider tooth-design for better alignment and positioning, and feature an exclusive mixture of chromium and aluminum coating, which provides higher resistance to heat and a longer lifespan. It also helps to prevent continuous vibrations and overloading the tool.

“The bits are stronger, tougher and offer optimal drilling precision,” says Stéphane Drainville, Product Manager, Tooling and Power Tools at Walter Surface Technologies. “They’re more stable and allow for chatter-free countersinking.”

The countersink bits come with a straight shank for use with hand drills, CNC machines, milling equipment and other automated machines. Plus, three new, larger sizes have been added to the line, which all feature a Weldon shank for magnetic drilling units.

New countersinking kits are available and now include five (5) countersinks of various sizes in a portable case.

The VP™ Countersinks are a part of Walter’s complete line of drilling solutions, which include Walter’s Coolcut™ metal cutting lubricant and the Icecut™ magnetic drilling units.
